It examines the regulatory landscape in Cyprus and the EU, including key obligations under the AML Law, CySEC directives, the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), and other EU AML directives. The course covers the unique risks associated with Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and crypto-assets, the registration and regulatory obligations of Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASPs), customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), transaction monitoring, and the role of CASPs in suspicious activity reporting.
